About Kim Castle
Kim Autrey is a California-born writer and journalist currently pursuing her MFA in Creative Writing at the University of Southern Maine’s Stonecoast program, specializing in Pop Fiction. A lifelong storyteller, she blends her background in journalism, marketing, and media into compelling mystery and pop-fiction narratives.
Her career began in broadcast journalism, earning awards for her environmental and human-interest reporting at an NBC affiliate. Over the years, she’s written for Forbes, Fortune, PC Magazine, and Logistics Quarterly, and served as Director of Marketing and Public Relations for The Indonesian National Botanical Garden, where her travel features appeared in Garuda Indonesia’s Colours magazine.
Her fiction has been featured in Onyx magazine and The Yard: Crime Blog, and her artwork and essays in Connections magazine. Kim is a proud member of the Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, and the California Writers Club.
